He is a good hand in the ring, but he doesn’t quite have what he will need when he no longer has Amore to do most of the talking. And that time will come in 2017.Ĭhris Mueller (CM): I have to say false-for now. It's not a matter of if for Cass' push it's when. Cass has performed well enough in singles matches, especially as a member of the Fatal 4-Way for the vacant WWE Universal Championship the night following SummerSlam. I thought it was telling when Big Cass announced himself to Rusev on Raw as "I'm not Enzo." WWE finally drew a line in the sand and admitted Amore is the weak link of the duo. Having Enzo Amore at his side gives him an added element of charisma, too. Cass is the kind of talent the company has long coveted. Match Prediction: Big Cass takes a huge win, thanks to a distraction from Amore. Plus, they still need to have a run with the tag titles first. Unless the singles push is just Cass going for gold with Amore as his manager, I cannot see the two separating anytime soon. While it is hard to predict that far out, Cass still looks uncomfortable whenever he isn't being backed by Enzo Amore. Match Prediction: Big Cass wins with some help from Enzo Amore. After SummerSlam would be better suited for him rather than beforehand. Big Cass has a ton of potential, but he still has a lot to learn, and it's too soon for him to get too much traction. Q: True or False: Big Cass will have enjoyed a spirited singles push by SummerSlam 2017.Īnthony Mango (AM): Leading into WrestleMania, WWE frequently throws a bunch of names out into the ether, only to lose faith in them quickly. The Bleacher Report team is here to sort through the muck, giving you expert opinions on the biggest stories heading into Roadblock and predictions on which Superstars will be victorious. Until then, all WWE fans can do is sit back and try to enjoy the last pay-per-view event of 2016 and wonder who will walk out of WWE Roadblock: End of the Line with victories. Hopefully WWE Creative turns a corner in the new year when it begins the long road to WrestleMania 33 with January's Royal Rumble. Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair will once again do battle for the Raw Women's Championship, leaving the rest of the women in the division to once again wait their turns.Įven the new cruiserweight division is leaning too heavily on three Superstars-The Brian Kendrick, TJ Perkins and champion Rich Swann-instead of developing more storylines. The New Day will face Cesaro and Sheamus for the tag team titles for the third time this month. Roman Reigns will once again get a chance at one of the top prizes in WWE. From the top of the card down, there are few fresh ideas in either the matches or the storylines. Nowhere is this more apparent than Sunday's pay-per-view. While this has given additional opportunities to Superstars further down the card, it has also led to repetitive booking. Since the brand split in July, WWE has churned out multiple pay-per-views on a two-week schedule in order to accommodate both Raw and SmackDown Live. WWE Roadblock: End of the Line is upon us, ushering out the year with more of a whimper than a bang.
